Life, the mean side of it, will deprive us of some of the intentions we deserve—or not, depending on who’s asked. Happenstances are packed with opportunities sleeping or confidently waiting, luck, and support passed down, or nothing altogether. No matter how you control your direction, some people will grab the steering wheel from you and lead you somewhere else. I am 22 now, and I know even a persistent mind and assured skills will never guarantee one a spot. You will not earn all of the things you may easily conquer because our world works differently.

But the surprise will rise in time. Sometime, someday, you will arrive at another door with a warmer welcome. The sun at that time will pierce through the clouds no matter how gray, heavy and burdened they appear. That day, everything will make sense; you will step lightly, your chin a bit higher and you are mostly comfortable.
